Playing the pipes
Forfar Piper Glenn Ross, a family friend of mine, has been playing the pipes since he was only eight years old.
He had just completed a very successful first season playing with the world famous Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band from Northern Ireland. So far this year, the band has been victorious in all major titles including the Scottish, British, European and World titles.
Glenn has also won several solo prizes at juvenile level, including the March Strathspey & Reel at the Northern meeting.
Glenn (now 20) has always played my bagpipes and can be seen playing a set of the M6 pipes in the photos and a set of M7 full silver pipes in the video clip.
