Ian MurrayOver the past thirty years I have been trained at the hands of the Gillanders’ Family in Forfar. Their skills were directly handed down from the MacDougalls of Aberfeldy. I am keen to carry on this tradition of workmanship which was passed to me, and to maintain the purity and trueness of tone, allied with the fine craftsmanship treasured by my mentors.

To anyone who knows the bagpipe makers` trade, it is evident that I have trained under some of the finest bagpipe makers in Scotland. I have developed my skills to a level where I have earned a reputation for creating a fine musical instrument that is played and cherished throughout the world.
